The vape legislation has been forwarded to the Senate for inquiry. More information is available here:

We encourage everyone to make their submission to the Senate. Details on how to do this are in the link above. 

The submissions end on 12 April.

Some tips on preparing your submission - you can include:

- How long you were a smoker for and how it affected your health
- How many quit methods you tried and which one worked
- When you started vaping and how that has affected your health compared to smoking
- Why its important for policy makers to hear directly from consumers such as yourself

Keep your points brief, don't overload your submission. 1 or 2 pages is enough.

Don't sound angry or make personal attacks in your submission please.

Once the inquiry ends, the senate will report on the findings in mid may, so that's when our next update will be.

The vaping legislation has now been tabled in Parliament by Health Minister Mark Butler. Details of the legislation can be found here:

Summary: Ban all vape devices, ban all vape retail outside of pharmacy setting, ban the possession of vapes for users. Ban everything. 

 

The bill has not passed yet and has not been debated in parliament yet. You can still make a difference.
